USA VISITED SCANDINAVIA AT THE USA TRAVEL SHOW IN COPENHAGEN
Launched in 2012 – and only grown since then – USA Travel Show is the premier opportunity for U.S. destinations and hospitality brands to meet face to face with the Scandinavian travel trade and media.
The annual show is organized and executed by Atlantic Link on behalf of Discover America. Strategic partners include Brand USA and U.S. Travel Association. The comprehensive full-day event entails a B2B workshop, Nordic market update, press conferences, one-on-one meetings, and plenty of opportunities to network and do business.
Our exhibitors come to Copenhagen from all over North America. Participants are comprised by key agents and product managers as well as vetted, relevant journalists. Other guests and keynote speakers include prominent industry CEOs, company presidents and gov. officials e.g. ambassadors.
Highlights USA Travel Show 2020
The day started with a news conference where Universal Parks & Resorts, Grant Daley introduced exciting news about their upcoming hotels and parks. Travel South, Andrew Cantrell and Peter Hannaford gave insights about their destinations in the Southern part of U.S. And lastly, Christopher Thompson, CEO & President, Brand USA presented their strategy for branding and promoting the U.S.
Nordic Market Update
The travel trade, media and exhibitors gathered for a briefing and market overview of the Nordic region in the early afternoon, delivered by Karin Gert Nielsen, Managing Director, Discover America Denmark and CEO, Atlantic Link.
USA Travel Show’s newest addition, was a one-on-one meeting session from 14:30-17:00. Travel agents and media had pre-booked meetings with exhibitors. Around 50 agents and media signed up for the session and had an average booking of 4.5 meetings per person.
B2B Workshop: USA Travel Show 2020
Deputy Chief of Mission, Stuart Dwyer from the U.S. embassy in Denmark, officially opened the free-flow workshop with a welcome speech, together with CEO & President of Brand USA, Christopher Thompson and Karin Gert Nielsen, Managing Director, Discover America Denmark and CEO, Atlantic Link. In 2020 we had 69 exhibitors from almost every corner of the U.S. meeting with 200+ travel trade and media from Scandinavia.
