Connecting Uganda with the Nordic Travel Industry
OBJECTIVES
To strengthen Uganda’s presence in the Nordic travel market, the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda initiated a tourism symposium in Copenhagen, bringing together Ugandan tourism stakeholders and representatives from the Scandinavian travel industry.
The objective was to increase destination awareness, strengthen trade relations, and create opportunities for direct dialogue between Ugandan tourism partners and Nordic tour operators, airlines, and industry decision-makers.
SOLUTION
Atlantic Link supported the initiative by developing a targeted B2B workshop concept designed to connect Ugandan tourism partners with relevant travel professionals from Denmark and Sweden.
Held at Scandic Spectrum in Copenhagen on March 24, 2026, the symposium brought together destination representatives and industry professionals for a day of presentations, networking, and knowledge sharing.
The programme featured insights from the Uganda Tourism Board, destination presentations, and structured B2B networking sessions, giving participants the opportunity to exchange market knowledge, explore tourism products, and establish valuable industry connections.
Panel discussions also addressed key topics such as ecotourism, sustainability, market entry challenges, and opportunities for future partnerships.
RESULTS
The symposium provided a platform for strengthening Uganda’s visibility and facilitating dialogue between Ugandan tourism stakeholders and the Nordic travel industry.
- 10 Ugandan tourism partners included in the workshop plan
- Approximately 30 Nordic tour operators and airline representatives targeted for participation
- Structured B2B networking sessions connecting Ugandan and Nordic tourism professionals
- Destination presentations and industry discussions covering market opportunities, sustainability, and tourism development
- Opportunities for future collaboration through direct dialogue and relationship-building
The event highlighted the value of targeted B2B engagement in connecting destinations with relevant travel industry stakeholders and supporting long-term market development.
