OBJECTIVES

Social media is continuously evolving at high speed. Influencers have become impactful figures in the digital landscape, which has made them key players in our marketing efforts. Recognizing their importance and the results they create for destinations and taking advantage of this evolutionary form of marketing and personalized branding; we are developing strategic influencer marketing initiatives to promote California in the Nordic countries.

SOLUTION

The latest influencer initiative was a week-long group road trip to California in November 2024 joined by 3 Nordic influencers from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. We created an extensive itinerary to enable the influencers to produce engaging and inspiring content for their followers ranging from outdoor hikes in Yosemite National Park, city life in San Francisco and beach activities in Santa Cruz and Pismo Beach.

RESULTS

The trip gained impressive engagement and reach. Below are the key figures from the campaign:

  • Total campaign reach: 2.9 million
  • Total engagement: 51.5 thousand
  • Total media value: 38.000 USD
  • Average engagement rate of 6.3%
  • Instagram posts and reels: 32
  • Instagram stories: 143
