Solo influencer trip to Philadelphia
OBJECTIVES
Social media and influencer-driven personal branding play an increasingly important role in modern destination marketing strategies. Through destination influencer marketing, destinations can reach highly engaged audiences through trusted voices and authentic storytelling.
For the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, the objective was to increase awareness of Philadelphia among Nordic travelers and position the city top of mind when planning a trip to the United States.
SOLUTION
To showcase Philadelphia’s hidden gems and strengthen its position as a must-visit destination, Atlantic Link organized a solo influencer trip featuring Danish content creator Miriam Poulsen.
The trip took place in November 2024 and highlighted a range of authentic local experiences, including independent bookstores, popular lunch spots, Philadelphia’s rich history, and unique neighborhood attractions.
Through engaging social media content, Miriam shared her experiences with her audience, demonstrating how destination influencer marketing can bring a destination to life through authentic storytelling and personal recommendations.
RESULTS
The campaign delivered strong visibility and engagement across the Nordic market.
