Introducing Memphis to the Nordics through Media
OBJECTIVES
Memphis has a lot of history and great local experiences to be discovered. In order to present these experiences to the public we partnered up with Danish Jyllands-Posten, Jysk Fynske Medier and Finnish Ilta-Sanomat.
SOLUTION
With the aim of presenting both cultural, historical, and modern sides of Memphis, Memphis Tourism created a program based on both types of experiences. From modern breweries to the historic Peabody Hotel and the history of Martin Luther King, as well as local diners that Elvis Presley regularly visited. Based on Memphis’ long history of human rights movements, the group of journalists gained an in-depth understanding of Memphis as well as the fundamental starting point of music history.
RESULTS
The estimated result of the press trip is 6 articles whereas 3 are already published with an estimated reach of 2.500.000
