Discover San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter
Soak up the ambience of San Diego’s frontier years in the Gaslamp Quarter, a downtown district anchored by Horton Plaza Park’s outdoor entertainment hub. Illuminated by glowing ornate lamps that line the sidewalks, these 16 blocks were once a rough-and-tumble neighborhood rife with gambling houses and opium dens. But that was back in 1880. Today the cultural district is honored on the National Register of Historic Places, and the Gaslamp’s handsomely restored Victorians are packed with restaurants, theaters, and nightlife venues. Just minutes away from downtown San Diego is Balboa Park, home to more than 15 museums, hiking trails, performing arts venues, and the must-see San Diego Zoo.

Spend Three Days in San Francisco
Did you know you can get from San Francisco International Airport to the many hotels and attractions of downtown San Francisco for less than $10? Take a ride on BART, the Bay Area's Rapid Transit system, and start your San Francisco adventure. With attractions, museums, restaurants, bars and clubs all operating at full capacity, our gates are open! See the custom, three-day itinerary for the best way to explore the City by the Bay.
Where to Eat and Stay in Downtown Los Angeles
Ace Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles

To visitors who want to stay within some classic L.A. properties and trendy boutique hotels created inside transformed vintage buildings—the ornate 1927 United Artists building is now home to the stylish Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles; while The Standard, Downtown LA was originally the headquarters of Superior Oil.
Grand Central Market

Start your food exploration at the reinvented Grand Central Market, originally opened in 1917, which has a bevy of artisanal food purveyors selling of-the-moment items (Belcampo grass-fed beef burgers, build-your-own ice-cream sandwiches at McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream) next to longtime vendors, like Wexler’s Deli.
