The Waimea Plantation Cottages was built between the 1880s and 1930s, and each cottage claims an intriguing story. Each cottage is preserved from the remains of a once small, but prosperous sugar plantation, Waimea Sugar Mill Company, incorporated in 1884, and many are named after their plantation laborers. The hotel is near Waimea canyon, also known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”, which gives a great opportunity to explore the nature in the area.
Some of the cottages offer full or partial ocean views; others look out onto the resort’s lush gardens and all the cottages have fully equipped kitchens for the whole family to relax eat in.
