USA reopens for Scandinavian travelers in November!

According to an official statement from the White House on Monday, the U.S. will open for fully vaccinated visitors from EU, UK, China, and India in November. USA has been closed for international visitors for 18 months, so the reopening has been awaited by the travelers and the tourism industry for a very long time.

USA reinvesting in the Nordic market
Karin Get Nielsen, CEO, Atlantic Link says: "It is absolutely fantastic that the United States is finally opening up to travelers from the EU. The Nordic market is important to the USA, in 2019 the destination welcomed 1.3 million visitors from the Nordic countries, making the USA the #1 long-haul destination for the Nordic travelers and the 4th largest European market to the U.S.”

Atlantic Link, who represents American destinations and tourism products in the Nordic region such as Visit California and U.S. Virgin Islands, is looking forward to actively marketing the destination again. Karin Gert Nielsen continues: “We are now seeing our marketing budgets being released so that we can once again show travelers what the United States has to offer.”

There is already great interest for participating in the annual USA Travel Show, which will take place on March 7, 2022.
