Yosemite Falls
At a height of more than 2,425 ft Yosemite Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in North America. It flows approximately November through July, with peak flow in May. Hiking to the top of Yosemite Falls is a strenuous, 8 hour hike but worth it for amazing views of the falls. You can hike just the first two miles for some of the best views before returning back to the Valley floor. If you continue on, be sure to take a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water. Yosemite Falls trail has lots of switchbacks and is very exposed with little shade in summer.

Pioneer Yosemite History Museum
The Pioneer Yosemite History Center is an assembled collection of historic buildings from Yosemite National Park that is located in Wawona, California. Visitors can walk around the buildings year round, and the interiors are open in the summer on a limited basis. There are also special programs and carriage rides in the summer.
Airborrn Aviation Services
Airborrn Aviation Services offers scenic flights over Mariposa County, which also includes the majority of all iconic landmarks of Yosemite National Park. Get a view that is rarely seen for a completely unique experience over the California Sierras. Book your flight today and take a tour around Yosemite that will be truly memorable.
Glacier Point Yosemite
An overlook with a commanding view of Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and Yosemite’s high country. This is also a good starting or finishing point for some of Yosemite’s most popular trails, including the Four Mile Trail and the Panorama Trail. The best time to visit is early spring or fall before the road closes for the season. Activities include: birdwatching, hiking, stargazing and (in the winter months) skiing and snowboarding at Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area
Mariposa County Courthouse
Built in 1854, the Mariposa County Courthouse is the oldest superior courthouse west of the Mississippi and the oldest courthouse in continuous use west of the Rockies. Mariposa County was formed in September 1850, even before California became the 31st State of the Union. Four years later the Mariposa County courthouse was built. The Court has conducted normal proceedings continuously in this courthouse ever since, the longest active period for any courthouse west of the Rocky Mountains.
Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias
The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees, near Yosemite’s south entrance, contains about 500 mature giant sequoia trees, perhaps the largest living things on Earth. The oldest Yosemite giant sequoia may exceed 3,000 years in age!
