Norwegian Cruise Line successfully launches revolutionary flight booking platform “NCL AIR”

New tool for Fly-Cruise bookings has been rolled-out, giving agents in the Nordics the opportunity to package air with NCL for the first time

Agents receive full cruise commission on the whole Fly-Cruise package and customers benefit from price advantages when booking flights with their cruise

COPENHAGEN (Dec. 10, 2020) – Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel with a 53-year history of breaking boundaries, has successfully launched “NCL Air” – a revolutionary platform for Fly-Cruise bookings that is integrated in the Book Norwegian agent booking engine.

The user-friendly platform is designed to give customers even more freedom and choice by transforming the way agents make Fly-Cruise bookings. What’s more, with NCL Air, the international cruise line is offering agents in the Nordics the opportunity to offer flight packages with NCL from all available national airports for the first time. NCL Air offers real-time access and current pricing to flights from across the Nordics to departure ports around the world as they are available in Amadeus. At the same time, travel agents can benefit from a simplified booking process, all whilst rewarding them with the full cruise commission on the entire flight package.

Developed to make life easier for travel agents, the enhanced booking platform offers agents increased efficiency, which, in turn, helps them reclaim precious time.

With NCL Air, agents can now offer flight options from a wide variety of national gateways and can opt for exclusive NCL-contracted fares, which give guests greater flexibility, or restricted fares at more attractive pricing that are subject to payment and cancellation restrictions. It also allows for easy upgrades to Premium Economy, Business and First-Class flights.

Guests benefit from price reduction on the cruise only fare if their cruise is bundled with flights at the time of booking, making the fly-cruise package even more attractive.

For added convenience, fares include checked baggage, airport and port roundtrip transfers as well as a pre-cruise hotel night, if required. What's more, for flights arranged as part of a package deal, NCL will provide assistance in the event of flight cancellations or delays by taking care of alternative arrangements.
All cabin classes and airlines bookable through Amadeus are available at agents' fingertips. NCL gives customers an unparalleled choice whilst saving agents valuable time and effort in the booking process. Reassuringly, all bookings are fully protected via the European Package Travel Directive.

To celebrate the successful roll-out, all European agencies who make a booking from 1 to 31 of December including NCL Air flights will automatically participate in a raffle. Agents making a qualifying booking in the month of December, will have a chance to win one of seven Amazon vouchers, valued at 1 x €1.000, 1 x €500 and 5 x €100.

Transfer included is very helpful, so is the info regarding last / first flight times, and the security towards cancellations and delays. Perhaps the info regarding checked in baggage rule should be easier, but that is something the airlines dictates. NCL Air is available to all agents with a Book Norwegian log-in. Agents not currently using the booking engine can contact the NCL Partnership Relations Team at agencysupport@ncl.com to receive access to Seawebagents.ncl.com and NCL Air. In addition, agents can download an e-flyer on NCL Air, offering an easy step-by-step manual on how to book their customer’s flights quick and easy with NCL’s new fly-cruise booking platform.
