Summer greetings from Atlantic Link

Summer is here, and at Atlantic Link we are happy to be back at the office, actively working on upcoming projects and FAMs. The world and travel industry might still be very different from what we have been used to, but we keep remaining hopeful and positive as we follow the movement in our region and internationally, which gradually seems to move in the right direction. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately.

FAM trips to Northern Jutland

Our new business concept, where we offer inbound marketing and sales services to Danish and Scandinavian destinations and tourism products, has been launched. At Atlantic Link, we are constantly exploring new opportunities, and June has been a very active month for us with the arrangement of no less than two travel agent FAMs to Northern Jutland. Along with groups of travel agents, we familiarized with this famous peak of Denmark, exploring a diverse range of the region’s unique offerings – from boutique hotels and conference locations to captivating nature and family friendly activities.

Are you also a local tourism actor who would like to increase your exposure on relevant platforms? Please do not hesitate to contact us for an in-depth dialogue on how we can promote your product or destination.

Inspirational travel destinations abroad

Traveling worldwide is still something that we long for and dream about. Nevertheless, we are happy to inform that more and more of our clients are slowly reopening sites and destinations for visitation. So let’s keep dreaming and remind each other that dreams do come true!

Below, you’ll find news about reopenings as well as inspiring stories from some of our clients who can’t wait to welcome visitors when it is safe again.

As always, we remain at your service if you have any questions, inquiries or business propositions alike. Please find contact information in the bottom of this newsletter.

We wish you all a very nice summer. Stay well and stay safe!

Warm regards
Karin Gert Nielsen, CEO Atlantic Link

Yosemite Mariposa County
Yosemite Mariposa County reopens with new Welcome Home video
Yosemite Mariposa County is ready to welcome visitors again with a new temporary reservation system that will limit 1,700 vehicles per day as well as raised safety procedures and guidelines. However, the Gold Country experiences and High Sierra adventures are still as amazing and beautiful as ever. Yosemite’s granite monoliths, waterfalls and flower filled meadows and hundreds of kilometers of trails are still breathtaking. Watch this new video to remind you of what we’ve all been missing.
Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism
Massachusetts reopens for outdoor dining
Massachusetts has opened for outdoor dining as the first step of Phase 2 of the Reopening Massachusetts plan. Indoor dining will begin later within Phase II, subject to public health data. Meanwhile, we've created a list of virtual day trips in Massachusetts, showcasing some of the best culture Massachusetts has to offer with just the click of a mouse and some great Internet speed. And when travel is safe again, you can take those tours in person.
Sonoma County
Sonoma County reopens up for leisure traveling – get inspired
Sonoma County is back open for visitors where beautiful vineyard views, wide open spaces, and the sprawling coastline await. Mammoth Lakes
Mammoth Lakes reopens – explore the nature through 360-degree videos
As California moves through its multi-phase reopening plan, Mammoth Lakes is ready to welcome guests back to the beautiful town and all of the recreation opportunities. Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau
Get a taste of Bloomington in your own kitchen
While Bloomington’s restaurants are temporarily closed for in-person dining, we’ve found some suggestions for making some of their dishes at home! Bloomington chefs have whipped up recipes for meals that are either served at their restaurant or are similar to the style and cuisine their restaurants serve. Until the restaurants are ready to reopen, enjoy a taste of Bloomington in your own kitchen.
Travel Oregon
Explore Oregon’s outdoors virtually
During this time of social distancing, it’s natural to feel a pull to the great outdoors. And guess what – it’s still possible for you to explore Oregon’s amazing outdoor offerings even though you can’t be there in person. Curve your wanderlust with videos and live cameras that showcase the state’s magnificent outdoors virtually. We hope that these moments of inspiration will help you plan future travel around the state, when it’s safe to do so.
