Dear friends and travel partners

While we are stille working from home, doing our part in flattening the curve, we do remain open for business and available to dream with you about our next travel destination. That is why we aspire to keep sharing inspirational content and stories with you, and support your readers and customers with ideas to their next travel adventure.

For trade partners, we host webinars relevant for both leisure and MICE, and if you are a journalist seeking content about a destination or travel product, we have several to share. We remain available for any questions, inquiries or business propositions alike. In the bottom of this newsletter, you will find contact information on relevant staff, who remains at your service at a social distance, together apart.

Warm regards,
Karin Gert Nielsen, CEO Atlantic Link
San Francisco Travel:
DIY activities for kids of all ages
San Francisco’s museums and attractions offer a wide variety of enriching “do it yourself” projects for kids at home as well as content of interest to adults. The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) offers “Bringing BADM to You” with a series of tips and playful activities created by BADM educators. Students in grade six or higher can “Make Your Own Mandala” with the Asian Art Museum. The Walt Disney Family Museum (WDFM, pictured above) offers a series of virtual classes taught by a live instructor.
Yosemite Mariposa County:
Three Days in Yosemite in John Muir’s Footsteps
Famed naturalist John Muir is known for his role in the creation of Yosemite National Park. A self-taught mountaineer and botanist, his enthusiastic love of nature carried him around the world on his own two feet. His favorite place on Earth, however, was always Yosemite. John Muir (pictured on the right with Theodore Roosevelt), spent his life exploring and one of his favorite places to wander was Yosemite. One famous adventure came in 1903 when Muir spent three nights camping in Yosemite with President Theodore Roosevelt. On that trip, Muir convinced the President to turn Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias into a National Park.
Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau:
Perseverance. Hope. Love.
"Since its founding, Philadelphia and its residents have demonstrated resilience. The unstoppable spirit that launched a nation will power us through this difficult time as we continue to support one another." With those words, The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau just launched a new video reminding us of the optimistic concepts that the city was built on. You can see the video directly via the image above.
Travel Oregon:
Oregon through the movies
There’s nothing like a worldwide quarantine to give us renewed appreciation for something we may have once taken for granted: the freedom to travel. As Oregon joins other states and countries in recovering from the global health pandemic, their hearts and minds are already dreaming of the future getaways to take when it’s safe to travel.
Sonoma County Tourism:
Spring in Sonoma County
Sonoma is the place where "life opens up" and to see and experience it first hand, the best timing is definitely during spring, which means sampling the bounty of fresh food and new wines, meeting makers and artisans at pop-up farmers' markets and festivals, enjoying wildflowers opening their blooms, and catching peeks of whales off the coast breaching the surface to say hello. Although that has not been a possibility in 2020, we truly hope and believe that things will change for next year. Spring kicks off in Sonoma County when the mustard flowers begin blooming in between the rows of vines, bathing the valleys in bright yellow starting in February.
Taj Hotels:
Spreading smiles, one meal at the time
In the fight against the Coronavirus, Taj Hotels have chosen to contribute by accommodating medical workers with hotel rooms including meals being provided during their stay. Taj Hotels acknowledge and sincerely thank the medical workers who are in the front line fighting the battle of the pandemic. Moreover during the past 40 days, Taj Hotels have distributed 330,000 meals in Mumbai, 85,000 meals in Delhi, 9,500 meals in Bengaluru and 575,000 meals to migrant workers in Mumbai.
